Sabaq Highlights
Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS delivered the first general sabaq on the 10th of Shehrullah (4th June 2017). Mumineen in Mumbai, as well as Mumineen around the world who regularly attend sabaq throughout the year, received the barakat of ‘ilm of Aal-e-Mohammed from its source. The following is a humble effort to give a few glimpses of the sabaq.
Syedna Fakhruddin started the sabaq by praying the hamd and salawat from the 1st Risalat written by Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA, Daw’u- Nuril Haqqil Mubeen (The Light of the Noor of Haqq). Syedna explained the significance behind the name of this Risalat, wherein the first two words, Daw’ and Noor, are both synonyms of the word ‘light’ with a subtle difference. Syedna narrated a zikr of Syedna Taher Saifuddin told to him by Syedna Qutbuddin wherein, Syedna Taher Saifuddin would receive fayz from Imaam-uz-zamaan in such abundance that the pen could not keep up with the speed with which Syedna would write.
Syedna explained the divine existence of Dawat, and how this world was created by Allah Ta’ala as a means to attain salvation and enter the very heavens, that we as Mumineen were part of.
Then, Syedna Fakhruddin stressed the importance of belief in God, and in confidence of His rehmat. Quoting the Qur’an Majeed, he encouraged Mumineen to not feel dejected and sorrowful if their prayers do not seem to be answered immediately, as Allah Ta’ala always answers the prayers of every Mumin. If they are not answered in this world, they will be answered in the Hereafter. Syedna chronicled the story of Musa AS, from the kitab of Majalis Musa’iraat written by Syedna Qadi al-Nu’man. In this zikr Musa Nabi, in anger said “may God never forgive you”, to a person who had stepped on Musa’s neck whilst the Nabi was in supplication. Allah Ta’ala reprimanded Musa Nabi AS that the essence of Dawat is rehmat and Allah’s rehmat cannot be denied by him. Allah Ta’ala forgave the transgressor and Musa Nabi beseeched forgiveness.
Thereafter, Syedna Fakhruddin described in detail the concept of sincerity (ikhlaas) in doa. Quoting the Rasail al Ikhwan-us-safa, Syedna Fakhruddin said that a Mumin should do doa with the purest of intentions (ikhlaas). He should always do shukr for whatever God has given him and above all have faith in Allah Ta’ala. The most sincere doa is when a person feels that there is no other recourse or pathway. Syedna gave an example of such doa: when one is trapped on the high seas in a ship and the ship is in danger of capsizing, the doa done then for saving the ship and their lives to Allah Ta’ala is one done with Ikhlaas as there is no other way to save the ship.
Syedna prayed for Mumineen, and advised that a Mumin should not keep any grudges towards another Mumin, especially in the holy month of Ramadaan.
We offer shukr na sajaadaat for the priceless jewels of ‘ilm and doa Syedna bestowed onto Mumineen. May Allah Subhanahu grant a long and healthy life to our beloved Maulana Taher and may his teachings help us in leading a life with utmost faith in Allah Ta’ala.
