Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS observed with great solemnness the first Urus of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA. Through the 14th, 15th and 16th of Rabiul-Awwal – Tabarrukatu Ayyamil Urs – the three days for remembrance and garnering barakaat of the Urs, the nazaraat of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA were ever-present.
On the first two nights, the 14th and 15th night of Rabiul Awwal, Syedna TUS observed Khatmul Qur’an Majlis. On both these nights, qasidas written by Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA and Syedna Burhanuddin RA were prayed. Heartrending marsiyas written in remembrance of Syedna Burhanuddin RA were also recited.
On the eve of Urus Mubarak, Tawassulaat namaaz were prayed after Maghrib Isha namaz, especially tawasssul of Syedna Burhanuddin. In the Urus Majlis, after Khatmul Qur’an, Syedna Qutbuddin TUS recited Sadaqalla Doa, referring to Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin as “the Sun amongst the Du’aat. A Da’i who upon his wafaat became united with him Imam who drew him very close in Jannat-ul-Khuld and gave him all that he desired in his haykal shareef’.” Syedna Qutbuddin TUS ended Sadaqalla with a poignant and emotional doa, taking the waseela of Syedna Burhanuddin RA.
After the Sadaqalla, the Salaam written by Syedna Qutbuddin TUS in remembrance of Syedna Burhanuddin RA was recited. The recitation was followed by a Darees with the Niyyat of Syedna Hatim bin Ibrahim RA, Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA, and Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA. Syedna Hatim’s urus is on the 16th of Moharram, and similarly Syedna Burhanuddin’s wafaat was on the 16th of Rabiul-Awwal. The Salwaat Niyaz Jaman on Urus night was hosted by Syedna Qutbuddin TUS.
On the day of Urus Mubarak, Syedna Qutbuddin TUS presided over Khatmul Qur’an Majlis in the afternoon at Darus Sakina and prayed Sadaqalla Doa. Following this Syedna presided on the Takht-i-Imami and delivered Waaz Mubarak.
Syedna Qutbuddin TUS began his waaz by offering praise to Allah Ta’ala quoting from Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s RA Risalat Ramadaniyya Samaraatu ‘Ulumil Huda, “Praise be to Allah Ta’ala who guided us to the straight path through Mohammed and ‘aale Mohammed.”
Syedna Qutbuddin TUS stated that offering hamd and praise to Allah Ta’ala garners great sawaab. In this hamd (from Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s risalat),there is reference to Mohammed, and Syedna Qutbuddin explained that he recited this hamd in this waaz because it is the month of Rabiul-Awwal: the month of Mohammed Rasulullah’s SA milad, and the month of the Urus of Rasulullah’s Dai Mohammed.
Syedna Qutbuddin then elaborated that we indeed offer hamd and gratitude for the hidayat received from Mohammed Rasulullah and in his time, his Dai Mohammed. Syedna Qutbuddin further continued to explain drawing from references of our hudaat that aale-Mohammed (the progeny of Mohammed) are the ehle-bayt of Rasulullah SA (the family of Rasulullah), and in this family Du’aat Mutlaqeen are also included by spiritual lineage. It is through the Dua’t’s hidayat that we attain salvationin aakherat. It is through them that we reach the aalam-un-noor (heaven). Syedna Qutbuddin then explained that for this guidance, we always offer hamd and gratitude and recite surat ul-Hamd in every rak’at in every namaz.
In the waaz, Syedna TUS did zikar of the wilaadat or Rasulullah SA and the dream of Maulatua Aamena b. Wahab, Rasulullah’s maa saheba. He also did zikar of the significance of the verses that Maulana Abdul-Muttalib SA recited after Rasulullah’s birth, beseeching prayers to safeguard Rasulullah from jealousy.
Following the zikar of Mohammed Rasulullah SA, Syedna Qutbuddin did zikar of the shanaat of our Mola Mohammed, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA. He quoted this bayt from a Qasida written by Syedna Abdeali Saifuddin RA: ‘the legacy/times of his predecessors have not equaled the shaan that was manifest in his age’ (ma azharat aasaaru aabaa’ihi * shaanan kama azharahu asruhu). Syedna TUS then recited verses from the Qasida Me’awiyya composed by himself during Syedna Burahnuddin’s 100th Milad and then listed many of the great achievements and milestones of the 52nd Dai’s era. Syedna TUS also narrated how Syedna Burhanuddin RA bestowed the honour of mu’anaqa on him on the occasion of the 100th Milad as well as the honor of ziafat. Syedna Qutbuddin also addressed many of the falsities that have been alleged by those who bear enmity towards the true successor of Syedna Burhanuddin.
In this waaz, Syedna Qutbuddin TUS then led us mumineen in doing the tasbeeh of our Mola Burhanuddin 52 times in unison, after which he took the 52nd Dai’s waseela and prayed.
Syedna TUS then said,
“In doing Syedna Burhanuddin’s zikar, his tasbeeh is the soul of the zikar….in reference to Husain Imam SA I have written that Husain Imam’s name is such that the sincere tasbeeh of his name ensures deliverance. Today in the Urus Majlis, we have taken Syedna Burhanuddin’s name and done his tasbeeh. Let us take his waseela and pray, May Allah Ta’ala fulfill all our wishes, relieve all our problems. The karamaat of Syedna Burhanuddin is such that the tasbeeh of his name, ensures that mala’ikat commit to fulfilling the prayers that follow it. Just as it is said for salawaat, any do’a that follows this tasbeh is fulfilled. Whatever remains unfulfilled in this world will be fulfilled in the Hereafter. Mumineen, always remember Syedna Burhanuddin and continue to do the tasbeeh of his name. Always do the tasbeeh of the 51st Dai Syedna Taher Saifuddin and the 52nd Dai Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. Their qabar Mubarak is next to each other in Rozat Tahera. Tasbeeh karay che Mumineen…Syedna Taher Saifuddin, Tasbeeh karay che Mumineen…Aqa Mohammed Burhanedeen. Syedna Burhanuddin prayed for us all. He bestowed the honor of serving this Da’wat upon me. So heis my waliyyun-ne’mat, I take his waseela and beseech Allah Ta’ala, may He give me strength to perform the khidmat and duty that Syedna Burhanuddin has entrusted me with…May Allah Ta’ala safeguard the haram of Da’wat…May Allah Ta’ala bless us with the fayz of Imam-uz-zaman. And from the highest heavens. May Allah Ta’ala bless us with the nazaraat of Syedna Taher Saifuddin and Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. May Allah Ta’ala grant us nasre-aziz and fathe-mubeen. Nasrun Miallahe wa fathun qareeb wa bashshiril mumineen. Inna Fatahna laka fathan mubeena. That [fateh] will happen. We are certain of it, for the nazaraat of Imam-uz-zamaan, his fayz and barakat are ever flowing…”
Towards the end of the bayaan Syedna Qutbuddin TUS recited the shahaadat of Imam Husain SA. He asked mumineen to bring forth in their minds the image of Syedna Burhanuddin and remember how he recited the shahaadat of Aqa Husain. Syedna Qutbuddin emphatically said, “O Dai of Husain [Syedna Burahnuddin] we will always remember Imam Husain SA and we will always remember you.” A video excerpt of the end of the waaz including the unique recital of the shahaadat of Imam Husain SA is presented on Fatemidawat.com.
Let us offer praise and thanks, al-hamdo lillahi wash-shukru li awliyaa’ihi, every day and every night. We offer hamd for the guidance of our Prophet Mohammed and for the past 50 years, and for the guidance of our Dai Mohammed. He was for 50 years the habluullah, the rope of Allah Ta’ala, and by clinging to him we were connected to all the Du’aat, the Imams, and to Mohammed Rasulullah. By our valaayat of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin we were in actuality connected to Mohammed Rasulullah and through him to Allah Ta’ala. Syedna stated that, “When we saw our Aqa Mohammed, our Mola, we saw Mohammed Rasulullah. This is our aqeeda.”
Today the hablullah is the successor of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA, the 53rd Dai Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin. We see Syedna Burhanuddin in him. We see the noor of the Imam and Rasulullah in him. It is only by giving misaaq to him that we are attached to Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, the 51 Du’aat, the 21 Imams, Panjetan, and Allah Ta’ala.
May Allah Ta’ala grant Syedna Qutbuddin TUS a long life by the wasila of our beloved 52nd Dai, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. May those who have been dissociated with Syedna Burhanuddin because they have forsaken his successor, open the eyes of their minds and follow the Dai of Imam-uz-zaman, Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin.
