Moulana Ali SA Shahadaat Waaz Highlights & Photos
14 July 2015
Syedna Qutbuddin TUS presided over Moulana Ali SA shahadaat wa’az in Darus Sakina after Maghrib-Isha and Washsheq namaaz on the eve of 19th Shehre Ramadan. Mumineen received the barakaat of the ‘ilm and knowledge of Aale Mohammed SA.
Syedna TUS expounded that Rasullulah is the natiq and nabi who brought Islam. Rasulullah’s wasi is Amirul Mumineen Ali, who is the asaas, Islam’s foundation and pillar. Rasullullah has said, “Shiat o Ali-yin hum ul fa’izoon” (Ali’s Shi’a are the true winners). We mumineen should always be thankful that Allah Ta’ala gave us the tawfiq to believe in Moulana Ali, the one whom Rasullullah declared his true successor among 70,000 muslimeen in Ghadir-e-Khumm. Rasulullah made Maulana Ali the qibla of haqq. Ali said “Were I to be the only person on haqq, I am still on haqq--for I am haqq.”
After the day comes the night; for everything God has a reason (khuda ni hikmat chhe). The Imams went into seclusion, and they appointed Dai-s among mumineen to propagate their Dawat. Just as obedience is mandatory for the Imam, it is mandatory in his concealment for the Dai. And just as each Imam appointed his successor by Nass, each Dai appoints his successor by Nass. Sometimes for reasons of hikmat, the announcement of succession is kept secret: Qaim Imam performed Nass on Mansoor Imam before he buried his father Mahdi Imam, and he instructed Mansoor to keep the appointment secret from all. Similarly, the 7th Dai Syedna Ahmad performed Nass on the 8th Dai Syedna Husain in private, with no one else present. (Syedna narrated these historical reports in detail).
Syedna affirmed that the silsila –chain of succession- of Du’at Mutlaqeen is alive today. The 51st Dai, Syedna Taher Saifuddin appointed Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, the 52nd Dai, who then appointed him, Syedna Qutbuddin as his successor, the 53rd Dai-l-Mutlaq. Syedna narrated the events of Syedna Burhanuddin’s first misaaq majlis on 17 Shabaan 1385H in which he was publicly appointed as Mazoon-e-Dawat and, before the majlis, privately as Syedna Burhanuddin’s successor.
Throughout the wa’az, Syedna elaborated on Moulana Ali’s fazilat. He narrated a zikr in which it was expressed that God did not place any farishta, any nabi, any rasul, in their high station, until they had first pledged allegiance to Amirul Mumineen. Syedna also narrated that Rasulullah and Amirul Mumineen were both born from the same heavenly light – one part became Rasulullah and the other part Amir ul Mumineen.
Syedna also expounded the fazilat of Shehre Ramadan. With great detail and lutf, he narrated the khutba that Rasulullah delivered on the eve of Ramadan: Shehrullah is the month of Allah Ta’ala. It is the month of prayer in which barakaat in this word and the hereafter may be obtained multifold. It is the month of Laylatul Qadr, the night of Maulatana Fatema, who is Moulana Ali’s consort and hujjat. Shehrullah is the night in which each sunnat namaaz is counted as a farizat namaaz, and each farizat namaaz is counted as 70 farizat namaz prayed in any other month. Shehrullah is the month of sabr. It is the month in which we adopt the habits of farishta and abandon food and drink. The reward for sabr is heaven. Shehrullah is the month for helping others. Syedna urged mumineen, especially in the month of Shehrullah, to help each other as brothers and sisters. Shehrullah is the month in which we should be especially conscious of doing good deeds.
Next, Syedna tus recited the opening ‘tahmeed’ of his new Risalat Sharifah, Faiz ud Du’aat il Abraar (1436H), which begins: “Praise God, who guided us to his praise and thanks, and gave us tawfeeq—during the hours of the night and the day—for his tasbeeh and remembrance (al-hamdu lillahhil-lazi hadaana li-hamdihi wa shukrih, wa waffaqana aanaa’al-layli wan-nahaari li-tasbeehehi wa zikrih).” He also recited verses from his Munajaat which begins, like his Risalat, with praise and thanks to Allah: “I call to you in munajaat, lord, offering you praise and gratitude—I pray to you, bowing down in your remembrance (unajeeka rabbi haamidan laka shaakira * wa ad’uka rabbi saajidan laka zaakira).” He also prayed with Imam uz zamaan’s vasila for nasr-e-azeez and fath-e-mubeen.
Syedna concluded the waaz with pur-dard Shahaadat of Maulana Ali SA.
