Shehzadi Dr. Bazat-Tahera Bensaheba awarded the Nobel Prize of the Arab world: The Sheikh Zayed Book Award

In the words of a past winner, “the Arab world’s equivalent to the Nobel prize” the Sheikh Zayed Book Award has been awarded to Yaqutato Dawatil-Haq Shehzadi Dr. Bazat-Tahera Bensaheba’ for her groundbreaking book “Arabic Oration: Art and Function." The book explores the foundations of Arabic Oration, particularly the Khutbah’s of Mohammed Rasulullah SA and Imam Ali SA.

This year was a record-breaking year for submissions with over 2,349 entries from 57 countries. The Sheikh Zayed Book Award in the category “Arab Culture in Other Languages,” is a highly prestigious award. It is a UAE Abu Dhabi Department of Culture annually awarded prize and has been widely featured in the media in the UAE and internationally.

This prestigious award acknowledges Shehzadi Tahera baisaheba’s decades of khidmat of the ‘ilm of Aale Mohammed and her years of scholarship at the University of Chicago. Shehzadi Tahera baisaheba’s publications over the years, amplified by this award, has placed the rich heritage of Fatemi ‘ilm and knowledge on the world stage.

Her book is dedicated to Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA and Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS. May Allah Ta'ala grant Afzalus Jaza to Shehzadi Tahera Bensab for this historic khidmat of Dawat.

Shehzadi Dr. Bazat-Tahera Bensaheba has dedicated herself and her work to the khidmat of Dawat ul Haq and Duat Kiram. With the raza mubarak of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA and under the guidance and tarbiyat of Syenda Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA, Shehzadi Dr. Bazat-Tahera Bensaheba pursued her PhD at Harvard University and flourished in the academic world. Her earlier publications have been dedicated to Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA and Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA respectively.

With the dua mubarak of Syedna Taher Fakhruddin, Shehzadi Tahera Bensaheb continues to delve deep into the khidmat of Dawat -al Haq as she works on various research projects and publishes and teaches about the wisdom of our Mawali-Kiram. Shehzadi Dr. Bazat-Tahera Bensaheba is currently working on a translation of Nahj al Balagha, a compilation of the sayings and khutbahs of Amirul Mumineen.
