Shehzadi Dr Tahera Bensab awarded Guggenheim Fellowship from USA

Yaquqato Dawatil Haqq Shehzadi Dr Bazat Tahera Bensab, daughter of Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA and sister of Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS, was awarded the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship from USA in April 2020. This year nearly 3,000 individuals applied. Since 1925, the Guggenheim Fellowships have been given on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise—granting more than $375 million to over 18,000 individuals.
It is a source of great pride for Dawat that Shehzadi Dr Tahera Bensab has been recognized by such a prestigious institution for her scholarship on Molana Ali SA and his wisdom.
Shehzadi Dr Tahera Bensab is a Professor of Arabic Literature and Islamic Studies at the University of Chicago.
During her Guggenheim fellowship year, she will work on her new book, Ali ibn Abi Talib: Life, Teachings, and Eloquence of the Sage of Islam.
