Love vs Fear

This week Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS detailed to the press how those who have usurped power in the community today rule by fear. Why has Syedna Taher chosen this moment to do this:

This is a call to action from Syedna Taher TUS to all Mumineen to stand up to fear and oppression.

The Quran teaches us about fear and about love. We Mumineen are taught to have taqwa of Allah Taala and we obey and worship Him out of love. In a similar way, we obey and respect our parents because we feel they care for us, and have our best interests at heart. So we love them and also obey them. The Quran says, “Remember God like you remember your fathers, even more (Surat al-Baqara: 200)”

Our Mawali Tahereen, Imams, Dais, care for us and our well being and our future, in this world and the next. We love them, and we obey them, the taqwa of God, is manifest in our obedience and respect. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA, Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA and today Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS, cared and care for us.

Qutbuddin Maula RA cared so much that he sacrificed everything for Dawat and for Mumineen. Fakhruddin Maula TUS follows the same path and has put all his formidable resources on the line for Dawat and Mumineen.

Taqwa is prudent, intelligent thinking, springing from love. Fear of Satan and his lot is cowardice.

No self-respecting person wants to admit that they are afraid of bullies - bullies who don’t care for anyone and want power and control at any cost; bullies who oppress and instill fear into people to achieve their own selfish ends.

Are you afraid of bullies? If you ask someone, the answer will most-often be “No”.

But sadly, while love for God and his Awliya leads us to taqwa and obedience, to the true path of Haq; often love of our family and dear ones, leads us to fear the oppressor and bully.

We fear separation from our loved ones or that they themselves will be persecuted.

The intelligent thing to do is to fear for their future: to want that they become good human-beings, Mumineen, part of the Dawoodi Bohra community as we have known it, peace loving, educated, open-minded. We should want them to have the best of characters; as those who not only dwell in Jannat with the Panjatan Paak SA, but also dwell in the haven of true Dawat, free from persecution and extortion.

Let love overcome fear. Love for your family and dear ones, concern for their future and well-being -overcome your fear of the oppressor and bully. Answer the call of the Dai of Allah, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS, to bring those who are misleading and oppressing the community to account.

Syedna Taher TUS is there for Mumineen should they face any difficulties. There are many examples of Mumineen today who have faced up to the bullies of the community today, and have come out on top, with the doa of Qutbuddin Maula RA, and Fakhruddin Maula TUS. They are free today, of the oppression, of the extortion for money, of the constant monitoring of their movements.

However today, hundreds of thousands around the world see that love is more powerful than fear. We must come together from the havens of our virtual homes and stand up for what we believe is true. We must all come together and join hands with those attending to the needs of Mumineen through Dawat’s institutions of social welfare such as Zahra Hasanat, Qarzan Hasana, QJSP scholarship program.

We are those who practice our faith out of love for our Dai. We believe through our love and respect of Syedna Fakhruddin TUS we will become the best versions of ourselves in this world and in the Hereafter.
