"Importance of Rasullulah’s Hadith in Interpreting Islamic Tenants and Philosophies" - Talk by Shzd Dr. Tahera Bensab

On the auspicious occasion of Mab’as, we are pleased to formally launch this excellent edition and translation of Rasulullah’s SA Hadith compiled by the Fatimid jurist al-Qadi al-Quda’i “al-Shihab al-Nabawi”. The excellent edition and translation “Light in the Heavens” by Yaqutatu Da’watil Haqq Shehzadi Dr. Tahera Baisaheba follows the publication of “Treasury of Virtues.”

We are also pleased to present this audio recording of a lecture by Shehzadi Tahera Baisaheba, an Editorial Board Member of the Library of Arabic Literature, New York University, Abu Dhabi. In this 20 min presentation made on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi 1438H, she discusses the importance of Rasullulah’s hadith in interpreting Islamic tenants and philosophies. She explains the religious, political, social, and cultural importance of understanding the meaning and context of these hadith. Shzd Tahera Baisaheba also discusses the background of al-Qadi al-Quda’I’s compilation and other important details about the Shihab text. We have also published an excerpt from the lecture handout that features a selection of Shehzadi Tahera Baisaheba’s translations.
