The Mihrab Zarih in Masjid al-Mua'azzam Kufa

It is in the Mihrab in al-Masjid al-Mu’azzam in Kufa that Maulana Ali SA claimed Shahaadat and uttered the extraordinary words ‘fuztu wa rabbil Ka’ba’ – I swear by the Lord of the Ka’ba that I have won. Indeed ‘Shi’atu ‘Aliyyin humul faa’izun’ – the Shi’a of Ali will indeed win. The Shi’a of Ali will win jannat in the Hereafter. As we are with Ali’s Dai we are certain in our belief and yaqeen that we are the Shi’a of Ali. As we remember and mourn the Shahadat of Maulana Ali SA on the 19th of Ramadaan, we also remember that the ornate gold and silver Zarih mubarak that adorns the Mihrab in Jame’ Kufa where Amirul Mumineen was martyred was built by our beloved Muqaddas Maula Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA. One of the shanaat that was saved for our Mawla Burhanuddin. The iftitah of this zarih was performed my Syedna Burhanuddin in 1423H (2002). The Zarih that was on the Mihrab earlier was also presented by Syedna Burhanuddin RA in 1394H (1974). For the iftitah of the first Zarih Syedna Burhanuddin RA had sent his Mazoon Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS.
