Maulana Ali SA was born on the 13th of Rajab. As there was no labour pain, Maulana Abu Talib AS took Maulana Ali’s mother Maulatuna Fateman binte Asad to the Ka’ba. The doors of the Ka’ba opened and Maulana Ali was born inside Baitullah on the Rukhamat Hamraa’ (Red Marble). Maulana Abu Talib marked the spot with a nail and said that ‘in this place people will do Ibaadat of Allah Ta’ala, for this is the place of the birth of Ali’.
