Syedna Fakhruddin TUS urges Mumineen that they should take sabaq and learn from the example of shuhada’i Karbala. The shuhada’ did not pay heed to material and worldly considerations and prioritized Aakherat and the khidmat of Imam-uz-zaman Husain SA.

Syedna Idris resided in the fort of Shibam, a few miles from the Hutaib, where Syedna Hatim RA resided. Syedna Idris is said to have composed most of his writings near a spring-well in Shibam.

But as the Quranic Ayat quoted above reads, there are those whom Allah Ta’ala has preferred over others. Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s RA maqaam amongst the Du’aat was that of a shining sun.

Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA was once threatened with death by those wishing ill for Dawat and Dai. His reply to them was, “You threaten us with death? Don’t you know that our forefathers have sacrificed their lives for the sake of Dawat. I also have the same conviction.”

When we visit Ahemdabad for the ziarat of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA and the other eight Du’at Mutlaqeen and their hudud fudala’, we are also always extremely humbled by the hundreds of Shahids – ordinary mumineen who proved themselves to be extraordinary (anything but ordinary) – mumineen who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Haqq.

The moral of the heart wrenching shahaadat of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA is that the Noor of Allah Ta’ala – the Dai and his Dawat – will endure even though the enemies may wish to extinguish it. The purpose in the shahaadat of Syedna Qutbuddin RA was to extinguish the Noor of Allah Ta’ala but that Noor endured in Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed’s RA waaris and successor, Syedna Feer Khan Shuja’uddin RA.

According to our belief, the Imam is Quran-e-Naatiq, the speaking, animate, or live, Quran who expounds and explains the deep meanings in the text of the Quran. In the time of the Imam’s seclusion, the Du’at Mutlaqeen are the Surahs of the Quran...

Syedna then stressed that the Dai is the one who has received the Nass of the Imam, one after another a Dai is appointed with the ilhaam and ta’yeed of the Imam. The appointment is attributed to the Imam himself. According to our doctrine, the Dai does not appoint anyone except one who is like him in every way
