The ‘Shamal’ of Eid & the Unity of Mumineen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِّنكَ ۖ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
'O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a thaal set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)'
(Surat al-Ma’idat: 114)

Ramadaan al-Mo’azzam ends with the Day of Eid-ul-Fitar, a day of joy and happiness. A day in which we celebrate the conclusion of the thirty days of fasting. The day in which we say ‘Allahu Akbar’ in the takbeera, as per the Qur’anic prescription, rejoicing in the guidance by which we recognized the holy month and completed the fasts.
Imam Ali Zainul Aabedin’s doa which we recite after sunrise on Eid day begins with these phrases: Allah, we seek forgiveness from you on the day of Fitar, the day which is a day of joy and Eid for Mumineen, and a day of assembly and gathering for people of our millat (Muslimeen).
On this day, Syedna Qutbuddin TUS in his wasila beseeched this prayer:
Allah, I beseech doa in this day, the day of Eid, which Zainul Aabdedin Imam says is the day in which Muslimeen and Mumineen gather, that is the importance of this day. I take the wasila of Imam Zainul Aabedin and the blessings of the Ma’idat of Eid and pray, ay parwardigar, keep our unity intact, our solidarity unbroken, keep us with Imamuz-zaman, keep us with his Dai, safe in the safe sanctuary of Dawat, keep our unity intact - hamara shamal ne jame’ raakhje.
For the family of the Dai, I pray, keep our unity intact, for every Mumin, I pray for his family. May Allah keep our unity intact. Parents who have answered the call of the True Dai and accepted him, may their children also accept the true Dai and follow Siraat-e-Mustaqeem. I pray for all, as we recite daily in Surat al-Hamd, “ihdinas-siratal-mustaqeem”, if once receives this guidance then his entire life is Eid, his life is truly Eid...
May Allah keep our unity intact with the barakat of Imamuz-zaman SA. I also pray in this day, that those who have been at the forefront of luring people who were Mumineen, by making them doubt through lies and deceits, may Allah grant them tawfeeq and guidance that they answer the true 53rd Dai Khuzaima Qutbuddin and join the assembly of Imaan. Keep the assembly/congregation of mumineen intact.
Syedna added that, “some say that the community is divided. I say that the Dawoodi Bohra Community is my community and may Allah Ta’ala keep them all together with me, the 53rd Dai of Imam uz Zaman."
Syedna’s prayer is a manifestation of his care and compassion for all those who belonged to our community. Despite all that has transpired since the time of Syedna Burhanuddin’s wafaat, Syedna Qutbuddin continues to pray for guidance for those who have been led astray, even for those who have been at the forefront of leading people astray.
May Allah Ta’ala grant tawfeeq to those who have gone astray or are in doubt to follow the true successor of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA, the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin TUS.
